Day 365: Hard Boiled Eggs

About a week or so ago the cooling fan in my laptop stopped working, so I can only use it for about half an hour at a time before I have to let it cool down. It makes working a lot harder, since I have to work in half hour intervals, but it has given me time to catch up on some of my reading I have gotten behind on lately.

I have decided to continue this project in 2013, which means you get another 365 days of photos! My goal for 2013 however is going to be a bit different than this years goal. My goal for 2012 was just to take a photo every day. My 2013 goal is to take a good photo every day for an entire year. I'm going to push myself harder to create better images and to continue to grow as a photographer. 52 of my photos in 2013 will be self portraits, one for every week. My photos will also be taking a more themed/fine art approach in the new year.

I created this photo using a technique called light painting. All the lights are turned off and you use a flashlight or any other light source to paint a picture facing towards the camera during a long exposure. It's a lot of fun but takes a few tries to get the design you were going after.

Only one month left! I have decided to create a book to wrap up the year, and in it will be 6 of my favourite photos from each month! Next week I will be showing you the cover of the book, along with pricing and ordering information. I have also started to think about 2013 and the projects I will be working on next year, so I will keep you updated on that as well! I would like to give a huge thanks to everyone who has viewed each and every photo, even the bad ones.
