Day 269: Little Brother

Today I forced my younger brother outside so I could take some photos of him to replace the one from last year hanging on the wall. After he goofed off for a few minutes and made various silly faces, I finally got a few good ones.

Day 266: Progress

This is a photo I took in summer 2011 for my interview for Prairieview School of Photography.

The composition is horrible. The horizon is not straight at all. I did a really bad job with it in post. Clearly this is not a good photo, yet I was somehow still accepted into school. A year and a few months later, I visited the same location. This is the photo I created today.

I am super happy with how far I have come in just over a year, and super happy that the potential was spotted in my first photo, so that I could learn how to take a proper photograph. Clearly I have improved a lot, in every aspect of my photography, and I am looking forward to continuing to improve!

Day 265: Fall Leaves

Although I wish it wasn't this cold and windy, I love Fall because of all the beautiful colours!

Day 264: Old Bone

When I was little I used to love being outside searching for interesting things, and often I would come home with pocketfuls of pretty rocks, old animal bones, and pieces of broken dishes from a long time ago. Most of that stuff I don't have anymore, but this one managed to stick around throughout the years.

Day 248: Dead Cactus

I can't even manage to keep a little cactus alive... maybe it's time to try a rock garden!
